Bring the timeless, natural power of tea tree essential oil into your home — steam-distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a tree cherished for centuries for its remarkable healing properties.
The name "tea tree" comes from early traditions of infusing the leaves to make tea. This essential oil is the concentrated liquid compound steam-distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, native to the northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. Valued for its antiseptic and anti-fungal qualities, thanks to naturally occurring compounds called terpenoids, it remains a popular ingredient in personal care products and natural remedies today.

Tea tree essential oil is said to be good for relieving congestion, cold, cough, and flu. It has been used to help heal acne, fungal infections, dandruff, vaginal infections, haemorrhoids, and athlete's foot, and is believed to soothe aching muscles and joint injuries. When added to bath water, it helps control bacteria.
Please note: Tea tree oil is not to be taken internally. It is usually used only on adults and must be kept away from children and pets. Do not use it if you're pregnant or lactating.
The Australian aborigines have been using the crushed leaves to heal cuts, burns, sores, and infections for hundreds of years. They inhaled the oils from the crushed leaves to relieve coughs and colds, sprinkled the oil on wounds and applied a poultice, and infused the leaves to make tea that soothes sore throats. It was between 1920 and 1930 that the essential oil of this tree began to be recognised and used for its antimicrobial properties in Europe.
