Invite mindfulness and serenity into your practice with this Five Buddha Singing Bowl, a sacred tool rooted in centuries of Buddhist tradition.
The number five holds tremendous significance in nearly all Buddhist traditions. It refers to the five colours, the five senses, the five Wisdoms, and the five elements — all expressed through the Five Buddhas. While the term "mindfulness" has only recently become popular in the West, the very first texts about this system of five Buddhas were found in the 6th century AD, when Buddhism was slowly introduced in Tibet.
This Five Buddha Singing Bowl will aid with mindfulness meditations.
According to the Tibetan tradition, the existence of singing bowls dates back to the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560-480 BC). The tradition was brought from India to Tibet in the 8th century AD.
Singing bowls produce sounds that invoke a state of relaxation, naturally assisting one in entering into meditation. They are a quintessential aid to meditation and can be found on Buddhist altars, in temples, monasteries, and yoga halls throughout the world.
This singing bowl has been handmade in Nepal by traditional artisan craftspeople.
