When Spanish monks discovered palo santo wood's ability to cleanse and heal, they named the tree "palo santo," meaning "holy wood." While some smudging herbs are used only to cleanse a space from negative energy, others are then used to attract positive energy afterwards. Palo santo is rare because it does both at the same time.

Our palo santo wood is sourced from Peru and Ecuador, where the harvest is carefully monitored by local authorities. The trees are very rare and therefore never cut down. The wood is collected only from naturally fallen trees, allowing this sacred resource to be gathered responsibly.
